Types of Text

Descriptive text	Purpose:to describe and reveal a particular person,place,or thing. Generic Structure: a.Identivication:Identifying the phenomenan to be discribed. b.Description:Describing the phenomenan parts,qualites/characters. Example: ~My Cat Gregory.
Report text	Purpose:Classifies and describes things in general and specific terms. Generic Structure: a.General classification:Pengantar tentang sesuatu atau fenomena yang akan di bahas. b.Description:Menerangkan sesuatu atau fenomena yang akan dibahas ,meliputi bagian²,kualitas,dan perilaku. Example: ~Elephant
Recount text	Purpose:To tell past events. Generic Structure: a.Orientation:Introduce participants time,and place. b.Series of event:Tell the event happen in the past. c.Re-Orientation:Writer’s comment about the event. Example: ~My Holiday ~Our Trip to Bali
Narrative text	Purpose:TO amuse/entertain and deal with various experience in different ways. Generic Structure: a.Orientation:Introduce participants,time,and place. b.Complication:Tell about the complict among the participants. c.Resolution:The end of the story which the conflict has been solved. Example: ~Legend ~Fabel ~Myth ~Folktale.
Procedure text	Purpose:tell about how to make something. Generic Structure: a.Goal:Purpose of the text. b.Ingredient/materials:things are needed c.Steps:Series of steps to tell how somethings is made in order. Example: ~How to cook “Omellete” ~How to use Blender
